With just over two weeks until the “big red man with the long white beard” comes to town it’s time to start planning those party outfits.

This week I nipped to The Quadrant in Swansea in search of sequins, velevt & faux fur – all those stereotypical festive fabrics but it is Christmastime after all and when else can you get away with dressing like a shiny disco ball?!

The minute I walked through the entrance I spotted the Debenhams window which was full of glitz. The dress in the centre caught my eye so I headed straight into the store to start my search and here it is, by a brand called Blue Vanilla and priced at £35 it’s a must have!

Warehouse have got an amazing party collection this season including this rainbow sequin number which is flattering in shape & length and for the quality I think it’s really reasonably priced.

Next I wandered over to Quiz as if you’re looking for a sequin number you couldn’t walk by without noticing their eye-catching selection. These trousers are a great way to add a little sparkle to your outfit without going head to toe & you can tone them down with a plain black knit like I’m wearing here (jumper H&M).

If you fancy something different what about a suit with a quirky tee under or a silk camisole like the shorts suit below from Quiz.

I also had the chance to do a make-up masterclass with the regional make up artist for Chanel at Boots within the Quadrant. We did two looks, an every day look with a muted red lip and a party look with heavy smokey eyes & a metallic red lip.

There are so many great beauty counters now within Boots & Debenhams, if you want something more understated head to Bobbi Brown, Chanel or Clinique. If you’re ready for a bolder look visit MAC, Urban Decay or No7.
