The week before I went on holiday I was invited to the Quadrant Shopping Centre in the heart of Swansea to have a taste of their unique shopping experience. Now I can only apologise for the delay but obviously building sand castles, splish splashing in the pool & trying to catch a tan whilst pushing Lily in the pram got in the way of me sharing that morning with you all, so here it goes…
I was very excited as I’d been booked in for a make-up masterclass with No7 at Boots, a brand I’d never used before and as many of you will know I’ve been trying to re-focus on self care over the last couple of months so I was looking forward to the pamper time.
I arrived at the Quadrant just after 9am when it opened to squeeze in a quick look around the shops first and I found this stunning blouse in Newlook which I think is the perfect summer staple and it comes in eight other colours. I love the brighter blue shade too and they’re both now on sale for £10.00.
At 10am I headed to the No7 counter within Boots for my appointment and I was greeted by the two loveliest ladies Yas & Sue, they felt like old friends. They made me feel so relaxed and at ease and we chatted non-stop for the whole hour.
Yas began the make-up masterclass by enquiring as to how I like my make-up – quite dramatic or more natural? I explained that my day to day my make-up is very natural but as I was about to go on holiday I asked for a bronzed look that would work for the evenings with a pop of colour on the lips rather than my usual nude.
Yas started by cleansing my face with the No7 Revitalising Micellar Water which smelt so fresh & left my skin feeling super clean & nourished. I told her I was naughty as my usual skin care routine comprises a baby wipe and a blob of Nivea. She was so knowledgeable and advised that she uses the No7 Beautiful Skin Foaming Cleanser at the end of the day to remove her make-up quickly without fuss, something I need to look into.
She used the No7 Airbrush Away Primer as a base which smoothed out my pores, which do seem to be getting more noticeable as I get older (rolls eyes) & finished the look with a beautiful bright lip & a slick of translucent lip gloss which she applied just to the centre of my lips to give the appearance of a fuller lip, a great tip that I’ll be using in future.
Before I left they gave me some lovely some treats for me to try out at home, including one of their Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum Boost Sheet Masks which I was hoping to use on holiday but as I’m sure many of you will know – evenings on holiday with a toddler don’t always go to plan so I’m hoping to have some pamper time this weekend, I’ll keep you posted on my Instagram stories @jane_copeland.
So the part I’m sure you’ve been waiting for; my before and after shots. The result was exactly what I asked for and I was really pleased.
Thank you ladies for such a lovely morning! You can book a make-up Masterclass at your local No7 counter by clicking here.
To end my morning I stopped by the new Krispy Kreme Cafe, located just outside the entrance to Debenhams. I went for the Strawberry Glazed ring doughnut & a black Americano with vanilla syrup, not the most pre-Ibiza friendly snack but it was SO delicious and didn’t last long. I also have to say the coffee was really good, I’ll definitely be stopping by again soon to get my caffeine fix.
Thanks for reading & happy shopping!
P.s If you join Friends Of Krispy Kreme you get your first doughnut free & special treats on your birthday each year.
P.p.s No7 products are currently part of a 3 for 2 offer at Boots so run!!
