All About The Blue

So I’m not sure what happened this week but Sunday, Monday, Tuesday I wore blue! Maybe I’d had a pink overload over the past few weeks. I even bought Lily these blue sweatpants from Zara on Saturday (gasp!). As you can see they do have frills & pink pom poms on so they’re still very girly & I got this pink top to go with them as a transitional piece for Summer to Autumn.

On Sunday we went to our friend’s house to celebrate three birthdays. We were so lucky with the weather, the rain cleared up just in time which meant all the kids could have a fab time in the garden. I wore the blouse I got for my birthday lunch back in May, which unfortunately doesn’t seem to be available at Marks & Spencer anymore – well not online at least. I teamed it with my new “Jamie” Topshop Jeans & these beautiful Topshop shoes that I got for my niece’s Christening back in April. I think they’re so elegant, a sensible heel for running round after my tiny toddler & very Chanel-esque. They still have the all black and black & white version available online and they’re only £39!

On Monday I worked from home but I needed to take Lily to the doctors first thing so I wanted an outfit that was smart yet comfy. I picked out my trusty drawstring waist, tapered leg trousers from Zara, threw an old blue Warehouse shirt on with them & I went for my foam espadrilles from H&M a couple of years ago as they’re SO comfy.

On Tuesday I wasn’t sure what to wear as when I’d checked the weather the night before (yes I do this now, I feel so grown up but I get caught out all the time thinking it’s a miserable day and by lunch time the sun is cracking the flags!) it had said it would be cloudy with a chance of rain (so wanted to type meatballs then), however, when I woke up it was so muggy. In the end I went for my blue Jamie jeans again and my new Zara sale top. I love the pearl detail but if you’re thinking about buying it my gosh it is a nightmare to iron.
